Landings 2019 - Northern Exposure

For this body of work, I have continued to explore the areas where light illuminates the dark hour and reflecting off surfaces that I once walked, thus revealing my carbon footprint. Northern Exposure blurs the boundaries in a photographic autobiographical representation. I hope my latest body of work can highlight the effects of light pollution and climate change, If a photograph can look like a painting then everything can be changed.
Now I continue re-inventing and regenerating my practice on a daily basis, but it does come with a price to pay. The Dark Hour project has progressed into another perspective and is beginning to take hold of my emotions and thoughts on a personal level. The introduction of bold strong contrasting colours is evident as I begin to create a monolith of work through critical relation to colour. The beautiful and the sublime blurs into the light which illuminates the dark hour, therefore leaving unexplained questions such as 'is this reality or is it a dream?'
