Carbon Black is a series of photographs from a study of fuel stations.
The smell of diesel, that anthropologenic light illuminating the surfaces and the fact I have a close connection which stems from a young age. My great uncle used to drive lorries which transported carbon black around the United Kingdom. I would travel with him on his journey, now those memories are travelling with me on my journey.
